Summary

Summary

I am a Senior Tutor for undergraduate students in the Department of Physics of the Blackett Laboratory at Imperial College, with a main focus on Student Wellbeing and Mental-Health. I have a keen interest in Widening Participation, Research Informed Teaching and Innovation and Enterprise.

I have extensive experience working with mathematics and physics students, as well as students with a variety of learning disabilities, including dyslexia and dysgraphia. I have worked previously as teaching assistant in primary schools in Marseille (5 years), as residential adviser in Halls of Residence in Liverpool (2 years), as personal tutor whilst a research assistant in the Mathematics Department at Liverpool University (3 years) and in the Physics Department at Imperial College (1 year), as UCAS days organiser and personal tutor whilst an applied mathematics Lecturer at Liverpool University (5 years).

I pride myself in having created an environment that accommodated the needs of my individual undergraduate and postgraduate (Master and PhD) students, as well as postdoctoral researchers, while still promoting a high level of critical thought and writing skills when I was a CNRS researcher affiliated at the Institut Fresnel in Marseille (10 years), on a secondment in the Mathematics Department at Imperial College (2 years) and affiliated at the CNRS-Imperial Abraham de Moivre International Research Laboratory in London (3 years).

I have been involved in outreach activities for over 20 years. For instance, I was co-investigator of the projects `Funmaths Roadshow and Liverpool Maths Club: Further Expansion and Developments' and `FunMaths Roadshow: UK wide roll-out' at Liverpool University (5 years of EPSRC funding in total) aimed at widening participation in mathematics.
