Summary

Sally Musungu is a PhD student at the Centre for Environmental Policy and the School of Public Health.  She is evaluating the impact of climate change on the geographical distribution of tropical crops, pests, and adaptation technologies' efficiency.  Her supervisors are Professor John Mumford and Dr Kris Murray.

She is collaborating with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Uganda under Dr Godfrey Taulya to model future trends of the banana pest and its implication on regional food security. She won the prestigious Faculty for the Future Foundation Award by Schlumberger, which funds her studies.

Prior, she graduated with a Master's degree in Agronomy at the University of Warwick and worked for three years with third sectors. She is a current Student Partner- Science Communication at the graduate school. She is also involved as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Facilitator, Demonstrator for undergraduates and master's courses at the faculty of life sciences.
