Interested in the generic aspects of the solution of the field equations of continuum mechanics by numerical computation. Interests span both 'pure' methods development, and 'applications'; indeed in reality the distinction is artificial, as new demanding applications themselves require methods development, and so on. We have been active in developing methods for (particualrly electromagnetic) wave propagation, using time domain integral equations and time domain finite elements. Methods have been established which provide accurate, full-field solutions for domains tens of wavelengths long. These are being applied in radio frequency problems (eg radar stealth) and optics / photonics.
