Summary

Sofia Palazzo Corner is a Climate Science & Climate Policy PhD student at the Centre for Environmental Policy, and Grantham Scholar at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment. Her research focuses on Earth system extremes, simple climate models and fat-tailed climate change uncertainty.

Sofia holds a first class undergraduate masters degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Nottingham, and a postgraduate masters in Part III Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. She has a professional background in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group, energy and environment research at Chatham House, and quantitative risk analysis at Funding Circle.

PhD supervisors: Professor Joeri Rogelj (Imperial College London), Dr Chris Jones (Met Office).
