Sam Willard is a PhD researcher in the Department of Life Science. He is supervised by Dr. Bonnie Waring, studying biogeochemistry of terrestrial organisms.
Having completed a BS in Plant and Microbial Biology at the University of Minnesota in 2019, Sam is now pursuing a PhD with a strong emphasis on soil chemistry in an effort to provide solutions for agriculture and forest management.
Sam is funded through Grantham Institute and is part of Science Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Partnership (SSCP-DTP).
