I am an epidemiologist with research interests in chronic disease, mental health, health inequalities and health behaviours, particularly alcohol use. Much of my research has focused on hazardous alcohol consumption and the reasons for high cardiovascular disease mortality in Russia. My current research is focused on using electronic health record data to investigate the epidemiology of chronic diseases in the UK.
