Summary
Sian is a GP in West London and a Course Lead for the Year 6 General Practice Student Assistantship course.
Sian qualified from Bristol University in 2000 and trained in General Medicine gaining her MRCP in 2005 before training as a GP on the St Mary's Vocational Training Scheme (VTS) and qualifying with her MRCGP in 2008, and DFSRH in 2009.
She gained her Masters degree in Clinical Education with Distinction at the Institute of Education in London. Her dissertation involved designing, implementing and evaluating a novel clinical reasoning framework that can be used in clinical or teaching contexts to improve clinical reasoning skills. This 'Stop and Think Framework' is currently used on the GPSA course to help students develop their reflective reasoning skills.
Sian is also a GP Trainer for the Imperial GP VTS and also teaches on the RCGP-accredited Department of Primary Care TACTIC (Training Course for Teachers at Imperial College) course.
