AB - Sarcoidosis is a multi-system disease with a wide range ofphenotypes. Pulmonary involvement is the most frequentlyidentified target for sarcoidosis and is responsible forthe majority of deaths. Cardiac sarcoid is less commonlyidentified, may be occult, is significantly influenced by race, and can portend an unpredictable and sometimes fataloutcome. Sarcoidosis remains an enigmatic disease spectrumof unknown aetiology, frequently difficult to diagnose andwith a variable disease course. This article summarises currentviews on the diagnosis and management of cardiopulmonaryinvolvement.
