Vicky leads on the RCUK Catalyst Seed Fund project to raise institutional awareness about the potential of public engagement to challenge and enrich academic thinking and research. The project also seeks to develop the College’s institutional structures for support and recognition for public engagement. In addition, Vicky supports the wider Societal Engagement strategy development, as part of the Academic Partnerships team.
Vicky joined Imperial in November 2015. Prior to this she was Head of Content and Interpretation at Kew Gardens, with responsibility for developing the interpretation strategy and overseeing the curation and delivery of the public engagement programme, including large-scale festivals and ongoing learning activities. Previous positions include Head of Learning and Volunteering at the Horniman Museum and Gardens in London and Acting Head of Learning Programmes at Thinktank, Birmingham’s Science Museum.
Vicky holds an MSc in Science Communication and a BA (Hons) in Science, Society and the Media.
