Summary
Will Warburton is Senior Policy Fellow and Operational Director of the Centre for Health Policy at the Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College London.
The Centre for Health Policy promotes innovative evidence-based policies among decision-makers worldwide, and undertakes a broad range of work from original academic research to developing practical applied solutions for health challenges for policymakers. The Director of the Centre for Health Policy is Professor the Lord Ara Darzi.
Will is also the Forum Director for the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), a major global summit on health policy and innovation in Doha, Qatar. Will is responsible with Lord Darzi for the development and delivery of the WISH programme and content.
Will was previously policy advisor to Professor Stephen Smith, former Principal of the Faculty of Medicine and Chief Executive of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Will authored the original application of the Trust and College when it successfully became one of the first Academic Health Science Centres in the UK in 2009.
Will has also previously worked as a strategy consultant at KPMG and as a senior NHS operational manager as Head of Operations for Women and Children’s services in Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he was awarded the Department of Health’s NHS newcomer of the year award in 2010.
