Summary

Xinyi Guo is a PhD candidate at Imperial College London's Centre for Environmental Policy, supervised by Professor Nick Voulvoulis. Her research areas include environmental policy, circular economy, sustainable development, and waste management.

Before starting her PhD, she received her Master of Science in Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Later, she interned at the Institutes of Science and Development in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and took participated in the project of the Assessment of Air Quality Attainment Plans in Chinese Cities.

The goal of Guo’s research is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable circular economy considering factors including environmental policy, public engagement, and technology, thereby proposing recommendations to decision-makers.
