Summary

Human head computational model

Picture below shows the process of generating a high-fidelity human head finite element model based on individual's MRI images (here uses my own MRI images). The model preserves all the anatomical features in high resolution. This model allows subject-specific brain injury analysis, taking individual's head size, shape and anatomy into consideration.

Drop tower test rig

show research

I have designed and built this drop tower test rig for sudying brain injury induced by head collision. A detailed description of the test rig can be found here. With this test rig, I conducted several projects, including evaluating various helmets' and Sikh turban's performance on protecting head, new biofidelic dummy headform, and gender difference in helmet project.
