Summary

Dr. Xiao is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Physis at Imperial College, working with Prof. Stefan Maier, Dr. Vincenzo Giannini and Prof. Rupert Oulton since Oct. 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Oct. 2019 from the same group. Prior to that, he obtained his Master's Degree in July 2015 from the Department of Precision Instrument at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, under the supervision of Prof. Benfeng Bai.

His research interests include fundamental and applied research directions in nanoplasmonics, nanophotonics, and metamaterials, graphene plasmons, metasurfaces, topological photonics, ranging from unravelling light/matter interactions on the nanoscale, to the development of highly efficient optical biosensors, and the development of new materials and devices for photonic nanotechnology.
