About me:

I am currently studying at the Applied Modelling & Computation Group(AMCG, co-supervised by Dr. John-Paul Latham and Dr. Jiansheng Xiang ) and the Resource Geophysics Academy (RGA, co-supervised by Prof. Yanghua Wang). I am interested in the dynamic bit-rock interaction process and thermal cracking mechanisms in rock.  The combined finite-discrete element method (FEMDEM or FDEM) is used to simulate these processes and deepen the understanding of physical phenomena. The Open Source tools and their applications were published on the website Solidity.

Project Topic:

  • Physics-based modelling of rock destruction and bit wear during the well-bore drilling process.

Biography:

  • PhD Earth Science and Engineering, Imperial College London. 2021 - Present
  • MEng Geotechnical Engineering, Wuhan University. 2018 - 2021
  • BEng Civil Engineering, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). 2014 - 2018
