Sally Kao is a Research Associate/Benchmarking Manager of the Transport Strategy Centre (TSC) within the Centre for Transport Studies at Imperial College London. At TSC, she has led a wide variety of data analytics and case studies for the Community of Metros (CoMET) and the Nova Group of Metros, as well as ISBeRG, the International Suburban Rail Benchmarking Group, particularly in the areas of maintenance and management of rolling stock.
Sally has comprehensive knowledge and experiences of metro operations from the previous work at Taipei Metro. Where she built up experiences in metro business planning, metro operations and maintenance, as well as system integration across different modes. Her devotion and expertise led to the award of Outstanding Employee of the Year (2010) in Taipei Metro.
Sally’s background is in transportation engineering, with a Master of Transportation Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering in National Taiwan University.
