Research Interests

  • Computational modelling of blood flow, tissue mechanics and mass transport in the cardiovascular system, with applications ranging from evaluating the hemodynamic performance of medical devices to predicting the outcome of endovascular interventional procedures for the treatment of aortic diseases.
  • Multiscale modelling of blood clot formation and thrombolysis, examples include false lumen thrombosis in aortic dissection and clot lysis in ischemic stroke.
  • Multi-physics modelling of drug delivery to solid tumour, examples including thermosensitive liposomal drug delivery systems in conjunction with focused ultrasound, nanoparticle transport, drug distribution and uptake in solid tumour.
  • Process modelling and mass transport in reverse osmosis membrane systems
