Dr. Zeynep Gurguc is a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics & Public Policy. She also lectures behavioural economics at University College London. Her main research interests are experimental and behavioural economics, applied microeconomics, and game theory. She focuses on applications of these areas within the topics of communication, digital economy, blockchain, business models and energy sustainability. In particular, she investigates the role of new technologies in climate change mitigation.

Before joining the college, Zeynep worked as a lecturer at Universidad Carlos III after completing her PhD. in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She also worked as a consultant at the World Bank after receiving an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Bogazici University.
