Summary
Dr Shi is an Advanced Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. His research experiences include metal forming technologies, powder metallurgy, surface engineering, materials characterisation and modelling, and process simulation. His current research focuses on creep age forming of large aluminium alloy panels for aeronautical and high-speed train applications, development of direct powder forging process, extrusion of curved products and wide plates, microstructural control for aluminium die forging, and hot stamping of high strength steels.
