Induction and cohort building
The induction and cohort building afternoon, held twice annually, aims to help new starters to integrate into the College by providing a platform to access key information, network and build cross-discipline collaborations.
The cohorts are made up of new independent research fellows and clinicians who start during an academic year (e.g. 2018-19 cohort) and it is an expectation that all new starters attend the induction and cohort building afternoon.
The induction will broadly cover:
- development opportunities and support available from the PFDC and CATO
- key information about the College – how it operates, mission, strategy, funding – and where to find further information about useful services across the College
- overview of how fellows and clinicians contribute to the College’s strategy, what is expected of them and what can they expect of the College
- opportunities to interact with peers and key stakeholders at the College as well as hear from those few steps ahead
