The PFDC has compiled useful links on UK support for researchers, searching for a job or funding, and careers websites, among others. Highlights include:

  • Jobs.ac.uk - Listings for jobs in Higher Education in the UK and beyond. Most UK institutions seem to advertise here so make it your first port of call for a UK higher education job hunt. Search by location or field of expertise. Sign up for daily or weekly job alerts and upload your CV.
  • Nature Jobs – International science and science-related job listings, both academic and non-academic. Sign up for the newsletter and search by keyword and location.
  • New Scientist Jobs – Science and technology jobs, courses and careers advice for both academic and non-academic positions. Browse by discipline, upload your CV, and sign up for email alerts.
  • Idox Research Connect - The College has a subscription to Idox ResearchConnect, an online provider for research funding information offering a searchable database of funding opportunities with the option to subscribe to alerts.
  • Times Higher Education – UK listings for Higher Education jobs. Not many advertisements for researcher jobs – the majority tend to be management, lecturers or administrators.
  • University Researchers and the Job Market written by the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS).
