In the light of the work of the Nolan Committee and increasing concerns about propriety in public life, the heads of departments, in discussion with the rector, have agreed as College policy clear approval procedures in respect of College staff accepting consultancies, directorships, partnerships, trusteeships, trading or other remunerated positions.

A Register of Interests exercise is about to be launched to update information collected in earlier surveys. The exercise will be conducted through the offices of heads of departments and centres and returns should be made to the same point.

Full details of the College's policy and approval procedures will shortly be issued to all members of the academic and academic related staff, both full- and part-time.
