Athnet launches

People interested in the position of women in science, engineering and technology, can now log on to Athnet, an email based discussion format open to all members of staff with the view to creating a lively forum.

Imperial College's Athena Project would like to hear views on issues relating to women in SET at the College, including whether special issues exist and if so, how Imperial should respond. It is also keen to learn whether the College should be doing more for young staff.

The Parliamentary Office on Science and Technology, recently organised a discussion on women in SET to support the House of Lords' Science and Technology Committee discussion about Science and Society. It can be found at or or
