Lord Vincent will perform the opening ceremony at 11.45am which SCR members are welcome to attend. The original 1960s facility has been redeveloped to provide a new restaurant, lounge and bar facility while modernising one of the College's most used social areas.

SCR free offers
The first 100 customers on 24 July will receive a free lunch up to the value of 7.50, while others diners will be able to take advantage of a half price lunch offer. A free glass of wine or cup of coffee will be available for those who spend 2.50 or more on lunch throughout the first week of opening.

Part of the Senior Common Room will comprise a reserved dining area where tables may be pre-booked. Full details of this service will be advertised during the week commencing 17 July.

The new CafeBar and lounge area will be open all day from 8.30am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, subject to reservations for private functions.

Change to catering services prior to SCR reopening
Between 3 and 21 July, breakfast and lunch services, normally available in the JCR and Main Dining Hall, will be provided in a fully equipped and furnished marquee adjacent to the Sherfield Building. When the SCR reopens, breakfast and student lunch services will resume in the Junior Common Room.
