Glaister joins new transport board

Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, has invited Stephen Glaister, civil and environmental engineering, to join the board of Transport for London, the capital's new transport authority.

A former member of London Regional Transport Board, Stephen will one of 13 experts to advise on managing buses, Croydon Tramlink, and the Docklands Light Railway.

The remit will also include managing the Underground when it is transferred to the authority, managing the GLA road network, regulating taxis and minicabs, running London River Services and promoting the river for passenger and freight movement.
