IRG03

IRG03 was was the first car built by the Racing Green team for the Formula Student competition. It was a battery-fuel cell hybrid car for and entered into the Class 1a competition for alternative powertrains. It did win the award for the most effective/innovative design at the 2009 Formula Student event but was not able compete in the dynamic competition.

It was following this that the Racing Green Endurance project was formed and, ultimately, created the entries into the Shell Eco-Marathon competition.

The team did build a successor IRG04 which took part in 2010 and 2011.
