Global eHealth Unit
At the forefront of the introduction and implementation of IT innovation in healthcare
The Global eHealth Unit is a research hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in health care. In line with the aims of the School of Public Health, we are a multidisciplinary team, collaborating on a number of local, national and international activities. Our rigorous work provides a strong evidence base for influencing policy and improving health education and practice.
The mission of the Global eHealth Unit is to develop innovative, evidence-based solutions for delivering healthcare and health promotion, and for supporting public health research. We are committed to improving the methods and techniques used for the systematic evaluation of these technology-based interventions, as well as to contributing to the current debate around policy and regulatory issues. We are also researching eLearning as a way of addressing the challenges faced by health science education in both high- and low-and-midle-income settings.
