Who should attend

This ISTR accredited course is intended for Departmental Safety Officers, Laboratory Managers and Technical staff with a significant role working within Containment Level 3 and 2 facilities at Imperial College, London. A structured and comprehensive training course that meets a range of competency requirements and is supported by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Essential Information

The online e-learning course runs for 6 weeks.  This is 6 weeks from the date that the delegate receives the login details.  The start date (the date the login details are sent) can be arranged for a date suitable to the delegate - there are no fixed start dates. Further information will be sent to delegates once a booking has been received. LDC will ask that delegates complete a Learning Agreement and will arrange for a PO number to be raised.
The full course has six modules.  The full course is released on day one (the day the login details are sent) to allow delegates flexibility in their learning.  Delegates may complete the six modules at any time within the six weeks – there is no requirement for certain modules to be completed on certain weeks.

All assessments must be passed with a score of 50%+. The overall mark (across the whole course) must be 60%+.  Should delegates fail to meet that mark in one or more assessments, they will be given the opportunity to spend some extra time in the course for revision, the opportunity to have a face to face chat with one or more tutors regarding any course material (via MS Teams/Zoom etc.), and the opportunity to re-sit the assessment(s).
