Quota errors on dashboards
If you see a 'Quota error' like those below on your dashboards, then this is because the Imperial data set has been viewed too many times that hour.
Why is this happening?
Google introduced hourly quota limits on their Google Analytics 4 API in November 2022 which means there is a restirction on how many times Google Analytics data can be read via dashboards in an hour.
Please note: this only affects the newer version of Google Analytics (GA4).
This change affects all Google Anlytics 4 customers globally, so is out of our control unfortunately.
What should I do if I see this error?
If you do see this error then you should wait until the next hour passes and try again.
If you need an urgent report on your web page visitor data then please contact your Faculty Web Officer who will be able to generate a report for you directly from Google Analytics.
