Call to action button in a sidebar
The Call to action button can be used on all pages with either a sidebar (on the left) or a highlight box (aligned within text on the right).
It provides clickable 'call to action' buttons for things like booking a room or highlighting a contact page. This tutorial covers adding button(s) to the sidebar on the left side. See left-hand grey bar below the navigation.
Give it a try
To add content types to a sidebar, the sidebar area must be 'activated'.
1. Create one hidden section (page) called Sidebar (case sensitive) as a sub-section (child) of the section where your Sidebar will live.
This section must be named Sidebar (case sensitive) and hidden from the navigation in order to work.
Below screen shot shows a hidden Sidebar section, a grey folder indicates that the section doesn't show in the navigation and is hidden:
2. Add a Call to action button - HighlightBox and nav content type to your hidden Sidebar section. (Find out how to add a content type to a section).
3. A form will appear. Fill in the form as below.
NB: There are four fields, the first two are compulsory, but one of the two link options should always be used.
