We will provide a central hub for ECRs to engage as a community, enabling ECRs to connect and develop existing and new cross-disciplinary links both within and beyond STEMB, empowering ECRs to raise their impact globally.

List

We will achieve this by:
  • Delivering a range of cross-disciplinary, institutional level ECR community events and supporting ECR-led events and activities.
  • Developing partnerships with the Schools of Convergence to create new opportunities for ECRs to establish cross-disciplinary connections and links with industry.
  • Securing dedicated space, initially at the South Kensington Campus and in time at the White City Campus, in which to create a physical hub for ECRI’s facilitated learning and development and specialist ECR The hub will also include exhibition space to showcase the work of Imperial’s ECRs, be a focal point for ECR connection and will add to the appeal of Imperial as a destination for incoming ECRs and for philanthropic purposes.
  • Securing an increase in seed funding managed by ECRI to support collaborative research.
  • Supporting the development of ECR community networks.
  • Equipping ECRs with the knowledge, skills, resources and opportunities to maximise their own impact.
  • Working with Departments to equitably raise the profile of ECRs and then partnering with Imperial’s institutional events team and Imperial Global to raise the global profile of these individuals.

We aim to strengthen Imperial’s voice in national and international conversations on best practice for ECR support, leading to ECRI’s increased impact and capacity to empower Imperial’s ECRs.
