Eligibility criteria

Satisfy eligibility criteria and be admitted to one of the following three Earth Science and Engineering MSc courses:
  • MSc Applied Computational Science and Engineering,
  • MSc Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning
  • MSc Geo-energy with Machine Learning and Data Science
It is the expected that the student concludes the MSc with a Distinction to continue on the PhD component. The PhD project is to be within a field related to the MSc courses and to be supervised by an Earth Science and Engineering supervisor.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Application process

  • Apply for the course via the Imperial College MSc graduate course admissions process by 30 May 2023;
  • Request the online application form from the appropriate course administrator (listed on website);
  • Complete this application form by 11am (UK time) on 12 June 2023.

Award Value:

  • 1 year bursary + OS fees for MSc 
  • 3.5 years of stipend at UKRI rate + 3 years tuition at OS rate for PhD
