Eligibility criteria

These scholarships are open to Overseas applicants who demonstrate the highest academic excellence and potential.

Candidates will be assessed based on academic merit and potential. Each department will nominate their chosen candidates.

Scholarships are available to MRes students starting in 2023/24 academic year and PhD students starting in 2022/23 or 2023/24 academic year. 

 

PhD students starting at any point within the 2022/23 or 2023/24 academic year are eligible for these awards.

Application process

Applicants must have received an offer of admission by 26 May 2023. Departments will nominate two candidates in June 2023. Successful candidates will be notified by 31 July 2023.

Additional information

Applicants must not intend to exercise their skills obtained during their studies in the UK, after completing their course.
