Effectively managing your time during your Doctorate is essential to submit the thesis on time.  Self-sabotage behaviours are common in PhD researchers. Recognising and avoiding or minimising your self-sabotage behaviours is key to effective time management. This course allows you to find solutions and plan your time more effectively; including how to work at home effectively and recognise the role of others in time management.  Time management skills are useful in future careers and all parts of your life as well.

Course Information

This course includes pre-course activities (~50 minutes) to complete before the live course and to engage with during the course: you will receive the credit by participating in all pre-course and course activities.

Pre-course activities (duration about 50 mins) will prepare you for the live session. Live sessions are available on different dates as online interaction (2 hrs) or as a face-2-face workshop (2.5 hrs).

Post course activities (duration about 20 mins) are designed to examine support and feedback within your research environment.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course and with pre and post-course materials, you will be able to:

  • Recognise solutions to limit self-sabotaging behaviour for effective time management
