Virtual Open Week

Visiting universities virtually may be a new experience for you, so we’ve put together some top tips to help you make the most of our Virtual Open Week…

1.  Don’t limit yourself

Qualifications in science and mathematics are key for entry to most of our courses so we encourage you to explore different department sessions throughout our Virtual Open Week. You may even discover a subject area you had not considered before.

You can attend as many sessions as you like during the week. You just need to book onto each session using our booking form.

It’s helpful to attend talks from our support services to find out more about our admissions process, the financial support we offer, and opportunities beyond your studies.

"The department session was really informative. It covered all the questions I had about studying medicine at Imperial and about the university as a whole. I appreciated the fact that they gave a detailed breakdown of the application process and the skills and attributes they look for in an applicant. - Raya, Medicine session"

2. Ask us plenty of questions

Make the most of the live chat function in all our sessions and ask us your questions.

Other attendees won’t be able to identify you when you post a question (and your video and microphone will not be on) so it’s a safe, judgement-free space to ask all your burning questions.

All sessions throughout the week also include a question and answer period. This is your chance to have your questions answered by people who know Imperial best – our students and staff.

"I loved the Q&A section of the session! The panellists were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions about the course and studying at Imperial in the Q&A and live chat. – Zainab, Chemistry session"

3. Take a virtual tour

You may not be able to visit our South Kensington Campus in-person just yet.

But you can still explore our laboratories, lecture theatres and halls of residence with our Virtual Tour: Imperial360.

4. Chat with our students

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask any questions to our current students in our department sessions throughout the week. You can also chat with current Imperial students after our Virtual Open Week on our online platform where you can get answers to your questions about applying to the College and studying here.

Be sure to check out our student blogs and read our student stories for an inside view of Imperial student life.

5. Stay in touch
