Dr Jenny Poulton (former member)
Jenny was a PhD student doing analytical and simulation work on the statistical mechanics of self assembly and copying. She defended her PhD entitled "The long and short of templated copying" with Dr Tom Ouldridge at Imperial College. Jenny is currently working on a project with Professor Chris Watkins and Dr Susanne Still on the "Intelligence in Context" grant at Royal Holloway, University of London. Jenny graduated with a MPhys Theoretical Physics from the University of Sheffield in 2015, doing her dissertation creating an idealised model of the structure of murein sacculi in spherical bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. She also worked on an analytical description of the self assembly of large structures of this type.
