    Summary

Based on a traditional sub-pore level method and utilizing the pore connectivity, we proposed a pore-network level method in order to study the effect of bubble trapping on foam’s yield stress. We find that a foam film moves in a non-smooth way even in a rounded pore when trapped films present in neighboring pores, which consequently alters the yield stress.

    Summary

For the seismic wave equation formulated in terms of fractional spatial derivatives (FSD), a spatial position dependent filter was introduced in this paper. This reformulation with spatial filter adequately represents the viscoelastic effect in seismic wave propagation and leads to a high accuracy of the seismic wave simulation.

    Summary

We implement the generation of surface-offset CIGs in RTM by synthesizing the backward wavefields using the forward wavefields. This method produces surface-offset CIGs with high accuracy and low cost.

    Summary

We demonstrate that a data-driven machine learning method, called the Fourier neural operator (FNO), is capable of predicting high-frequency wavefields, based on a limited number of low-frequency components. The predicted wavefields are accurate and dispersion free.

    Summary

We have built a feasible starting model from wells by applying dynamic time warping (DTW) localized rewarp and convolutional neural network (CNN) methods alternatively. This method is robust against kinematic incorrectness in a given initial velocity model.
