College Evensong

Imperial Chamber Choir sing contemporary and ancient music creating a contemplative space in which to find stillness, be reflective and be inspired.

Come and listen, and just be. Enjoy the beautiful space of Holy Trinity and be surrounded by glorious music.

You can engage with the service in your own way.  We know that people of different faith traditions and world views find Choral Evensong a welcoming meditative time.

The music changes for each service with the season and the weekly theme. The music for the Psalm is a new composition each week by our own Maria Portela, who studies Bioengineering at Imperial.

Evensong is open to all members of the College, the RCA and RCM, alumni, and the public. The service happens every two weeks in term-time.

What is Evensong?
The service of Evensong is sung every day in cathedrals and monasteries. The service includes songs, known as anthems, as well as musical settings for key texts from the Bible. The settings and anthems change each week. They come from different periods of history right up to the present day. This service is part of the long tradition of sacred choral music in British universities and colleges.

While listening to the music there is time for personal prayer or reflection.

College Evensong is a collaboration between Imperial College Chamber Choir, the Chaplaincy Multi-Faith Team, and Holy Trinity Church.
