The Inflammation Repair and Development Section is delighted to host Dr Naomi McGovern as part of their seminar series within the National Heart and Lung Institute.
Dr Naomi McGovern is a Sir Henry Dale Fellow in the Department of Pathology and Centre for Trophoblast Research at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on understanding the role of macrophages and dendritic cells within fetal membranes such as the placenta, and within reproductive organs such as the decidua. To address her research questions she has applied high dimensional techniques including single-cell RNA seq, advanced flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
