Please Join us  on Wednesday 28th July from 12:00- 13:00 at the CRI Interface Section External Seminar Series.

We will have an exciting talk from Dr John-Poul Ng Blichfeldt on ‘Using organoids to study epithelial regeneration and development’.

John-Poul undertook his PhD at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, in the lab of Matt Hind, where he focussed on retinoic acid signalling in human lung disease and repair. He then conducted postdoctoral research in Groningen, Netherlands in the lab of Reinoud Gosens, with one year as a visiting researcher with Melanie Königshoff in Munich, Germany, where he continued to study the molecular regulation of lung repair mechanisms by using adult epithelial stem cell-derived organoids as a model system. John-Poul then changed tack and joined the lab of Katja Röper at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK, where he is currently investigating the molecular regulation of developmental epithelialisation using human iPSC-derived kidney organoids.
