Grantham Climate Art Prize 2021 planet Earth painted

About this event

For the 2021 Grantham Climate Art Prize, we’re taking to the streets to show our appreciation for local biodiversity and stand up for nature. Wherever you live in the UK, you are surrounded by different habitats from ancient forests to wetlands, bogs and human-made canals. Each one supports locally important plants, animals and other living organisms. They sustain each other, and humans are part of that ecosystem too – but many UK species and habitats are threatened by human activities, including climate change. They need our help now.

That’s why we’re inviting 12-25-year-olds to design a mural that sends a strong message about biodiversity loss and climate change. Seven winning entries will have their artwork turned into a beautiful public mural by professional artists at one of seven great locations, plus win £250 cash.

This competition is in partnership with Octopus Energy, Real World Science, and UK Youth for Nature.
