We are thrilled to invite you to join us for a momentous occasion – the official launch of the Mohn Centre for Children’s Health and Wellbeing.

As we embark on this transformative journey dedicated to promoting the lifelong health of children and young people in the urban environment, we are honoured to present a week filled with insightful activities, featuring a keynote lecture from Professor Mark Schuster and panel session.

Keynote Speaker: Professor Mark Schuster

A physician, scientist, educator, and advocate for healthy families and communities, Professor Mark A. Schuster is recognised as an international leader in research on child, adolescent, and family health; concentrating on topics such as quality of care; health disparities; family leave; obesity prevention; sexual and gender minority health; and bullying. Professor Mark Schuster serves as the Founding Dean and CEO of the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, California.

Professor Schuster will discuss the pressing challenges facing child public health in urban cities across the USA in the 21st century. His insights promise to shed light on critical issues and inspire innovative solutions to safeguard the wellbeing of young people amidst the complexities of an urban environment.

Panel Session:

Following the keynote address, we invite you to engage in a thought-provoking panel session, where research and community experts will delve deeper into the critical issues shaping children’s health and wellbeing in our society today. This interactive discussion promises to offer invaluable perspectives and strategies for creating positive change.

Drinks Reception and Canapés:

A drinks reception will immediately follow the panel session. Network with fellow attendees, exchange ideas, and continue the conversation over a selection of canapés and refreshments.
