Where can I find evidence of liability insurance?

There are two policies providing cover for Imperial College and its subsidiaries in respect of legal liability to pay damages; Employers’ Liability and Public Liability.  Both policies need the claimant to prove negligence against Imperial College or subsidiary. How do I activate the travel insurance?

What about insurance for work experience students?

Work experience students are covered under Imperial's Employers' Liability insurance. [Finance Knowledge Bank; requires College login]

Does College cover my private holiday travel?

Private holiday travel overseas may be covered if it is in the same country as business travel for Imperial. See the Overseas Travel page [Finance Knowledge Bank; requires College login] for further information about the duration of business and private travel covered.  

Where can I find a letter confirming my travel insurance?

A confirmation letter for travel insurance is linked to the Overseas Travel page. [Finance Knowledge Bank; requires College login.]  You need to register your travel (see Useful Links above) and then download the letter.

I am doing my Medical Elective overseas and want to take a holiday after this, am I covered?

Private hoilday travel overseas may be covered if it is in the same country as your Medical Elective, which counts as business travel for Imperial. Who can drive a College vehicle?

All appropriately licensed drivers are insured to drive College vehicles.  Driving by individuals who are not College staff or students is strongly discouraged. The relevant vehicle-operating Department is responsible for ensuring appropriate driver licensing and roadworthiness of vehicles.
