One of the most important challenges in global health is how to address the epidemic of chronic, non-communicable disease (NCD).  Cardiovascular disease, for example, is the leading cause of death in high-income countries. In low and middle-income countries it causes nearly twice as many deaths as tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. NCDs will account for 69% of all global deaths by 2030.

Working with WHO Geneva's Non-Communicable Disease and Mental Health Cluster, we will be offering an intensive six-day course featuring topics and core skills to address these future challenges.

The course is highly participatory and seeks to draw on the national and international professional experience of its participants and faculty. It includes lectures by Imperial's internationally renowned experts, case studies, interactive exercises and visits to related organisations.
