AB - We describe a young woman with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia complicated by aortic stenosis, supravalvular aortic atheroma and coronary artery disease. The association of these disorders is common in homozygotes and usually requires surgical intervention with a high operative risk. Our patient underwent successfully widening of the aortic root, aortic valve replacement and aortocoronary bypass grafting, but 2 out of 4 similarly treated patients died.
