AB - For the first time the mechanism of transition from 2D waves to 3D waves in a viscous film falling along vertical liquid layer is understood. Linear stability of 2D solitons to 3D perturbations is analyzed. Destruction of singular waves and their transition to localized wave modes is analyzed numerically. Physical mechanism of 2D wave destruction is determined by destabilizing influence of capillary forces in transversal direction, Relay instability responsible for capillary jet destruction.
