Students discussing work during a class

Eligibility criteria

APplications for the intercalated BSc degrees are completed online:

Internal applicants

A majority of students on the course are Year 4 medical students at Imperial College MBBS. If you would like to select the Global Health BSc Pathway, please indicate this in your BSc application on Blackboard and follow instructions circulated by the Faculty Education Office about this process.

External applicants

Students who are external to the College should apply online.

The main eligibility requirements for undertaking an intercalated BSc at Imperial are that you:

  • have completed at least two years of a medical course elsewhere;
  • have permission to intercalate at Imperial for your BSc from your home medical school; and
  • will be able to return to your home medical school and resume studies on your medical course there after completing the BSc at Imperial

We also consider applicants from other fields relevant to Global Health e.g. Biomedical Sciences and Nursing. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to apply, please contact us to discuss this.

Please come and meet us at the Global Health stall of the External Science Fair which is held each year in January.
