AB - The characterizations of input-to-state stability (ISS) and integral input-to-state stability were presented. The characterizations were given in terms of powers of input and/or state signals and were novel compared to previous characterizations. The results showed that ISS systems possessed the property that bounded energy inputs implied bounded energy states.
