The Hub features a brand new café. Designed as a welcoming space to grab a bite or meet with colleagues, the café offers a diverse menu.
Serving a range of breakfast and lunch menu items, fresh salads, and delicious grab-and-go options, there's something for everyone.
You can also enjoy barista-made coffee, and a variety of pop-up food stations.
The name for Roots Café was the winning entry in our competition. "Roots evoke a strong connection to nature, sustainability, and growth. Roots symbolise the foundation of life, aligning with the University's emphasis on research, discovery, and intellectual growth. It also reminds us of the link between nature and food, which resonate with a community increasingly conscious of environmental impact.".
Opening times
Roots Café is open Monday to Friday, from 08.00 - 16.00.
Breakfast: 08.00 - 10.30
Lunch: 11.45 - 14.30
Catering facilities
Delivered catering
As part of their White City offering, the catering team provides meeting and events catering at the White City Hub, with a range of food and drink options.
Staff tea points
Staff tea points are available across the White City Hub, with free bean-to-cup coffee, tea, and milk supplies. There is a provision of ten microwaves and eight fridges (four full-size, four half-size), and dishwashers are also available.
Vending machines
The Hub also has two smart fridge vending machines, providing a convenient way to access snacks and drinks.
