Research Positions

We are always looking for talented candidates with a passion for robotics to join our lab. If you find our research interesting, want to play with our robots and would like the title of doctor in front of your name, keep reading!

Entry Requirements

Most of our PhD students hold a Master's degree in Computing, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Mathematics. Bachelor level candidates in the relvant areas with prior research experience will also be considered. In either case, applicants will need excellent grades; normally first class honours from British universities (for other countries see here). Proof of English fluency will also be required for foreign applicants (see here for College's English requirements).

Funding

There are many funding opportunities for successful applicants to the Lab. See the table on the below for the College's bursaries as well as other bursaries that have been held by members of the Lab.

Application Process

You are strongly encouraged to informally contact Professor Demiris before applying. The formal application process is described in the links below. Note that most students will start in either October or January. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
