COVID-19 update: During the current outbreak, we are considering options for the delivery of Allergy short courses. We are monitoring the situation as it evolves but will continue to run the programmes either remotely or on campus, when it is safe to do so. Please check each Allergy course for details of format as this may vary.

We offer a range of short courses in Allergy which are available both to students who are enrolled on the MSc in allergy programme, and as stand-alone CPD programmes for GPs, specialist trainees and consultants, nurses, dietitians and other healthcare professionals wishing to improve their ability to manage allergic patients in daily practice.

The courses available cover the following areas:

More information

Course aims

The courses provide an in depth up-to-date overview of the mechanisms, diagnosis and management strategies of specific allergic conditions, including complex areas and latest research with implications for clinical practice. The courses will enable students to gain evidence-based up-to-date knowledge and practical skills to optimally manage allergic conditions in children and adults.

Who should attend?

The courses are suitable for doctors (GPs, specialist trainees and consultants in Allergy, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine or ENT), as well as nurses, dietitians, nutritionists and other healthcare professionals wishing to improve their ability to manage allergic patients in daily practice.

Course structure

Allergy short courses are delivered in a blended format through a mixture of face-to-face and online teaching.  Depending on the course, you will attend either 2 or 4 days of teaching at Imperial College London where leading experts will deliver lectures and interactive sessions with question & answer elements, quizzes, workshops and case-based discussions. For a limited time after the course, you will have access online to all lecture notes and presentations, lecture recordings and other e-resources to enable flexible learning.
